My teaching interests include introductory and cellular biology and genetics. In addition to teaching, I will continue to mentor undergraduate researchers in the study of genome stability of yeast. I am also the Director of the Undergraduate Research Program (Biology 499R). My research examines the regulatory mechanisms that suppress inappropriate recombination in yeast and that prevent cancer syndromes and premature aging in humans.
