Study Abroad in the West Indies:
The Biology Department, in conjunction with CIPA and the Program of African American Studies (AAS), is participating in an exchange program with the University of the West Indies (Mona Campus), Kingston, Jamaica and the University of the Virgin Islands, (St. Thomas Campus), U.S. Virgin Islands. Information on the Emory in the Caribbean Program can be obtained from Dr. Darrell Stokes. Courses that are available for credit towards the Biology major at the University of the Virgin Islands are Marine Invertebrate Zoology, Ichthyology, Marine Ecology and Oceanography. At the University of the West Indies, the courses are Animal Ecology, General Parasitology, Coastal Management, Marine Ecology, Fresh Water Ecology and Plant Ecology.

Study Abroad in Australia:
The Biology and Environmental Studies Departments have a summer study abroad program, Emory Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, in tropical north Queensland, Australia. Students in the program take Evolutionary Biology (BIOL 341) and Ecology of Invasions (BIOL 349/ENVS 349). The program involves lecture, discussion, and field experiences.
